Good COVID-19 News

Did you know the positive virus tests, new cases and hospitalizations in the USA are now dropping in August?

Per the CDC, COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations peaked in July and went down in August!

If you search all of the major news outlets (CNN, FOX, etc.), you cannot find this important fact. They make no money from good news as bad news makes you go, “Oh no, I need to read more . . . “

Good news makes you go, “Oh, that’s good!” and do something more useful with your time.

On top of that, the total death rates from all diseases is also dropping. If you compare the first 15 weeks of 2020 to the first 15 weeks of 2019, we’ve had 45,522 fewer deaths in the USA.

Also, deaths from heart disease, cancer, stroke and lung disease are each still higher than COVID-19.

Recommendations from the Book, 25 Ways to Increase Your Courage

Courage Method #2 includes several recommendations for handling the fear generated by the news media. Try these three tips to increase your courage and reduce your overall fear.

1. Take a break from the news for 24 hours and see how you feel. Taking a news break might be very, very difficult for you. It proves how effectively the news media controls its viewers, especially with news junkies.
2. Start a new habit of ignoring all bad news whenever it comes your way. Soaking in the bad news is not courageous, but based on fear. Treat bad news like you treat spam and block it.
3. Use your extra time and energy on positive activities. Spend more time enjoying your life. The world will stop seeming so dangerous, disastrous and depressing.
